Discipline – Building Character Through Responsibility
  • At The Wilbur School, we believe that discipline is not just about maintaining order, but about shaping character, instilling responsibility, and preparing students to become conscientious citizens of tomorrow. The following guidelines are designed to create a respectful, safe, and purposeful learning environment for every child
1. Attendance and Punctuality

Regular and timely attendance is essential for academic success and character development.

  • Repeated absences without valid reason, habitual late arrival, or truancy may lead to disciplinary action.
  • Continued neglect may result in suspension or removal from the school rolls.
2. Respectful Conduct

We uphold the highest standards of respect and behavior.

  • Disobedience, inappropriate language, disrespect toward peers or staff, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.
  • Acts of bullying—verbal, physical, or digital—are strictly prohibited and dealt with seriously.
3. Care for School Property

Students are expected to treat school property and the environment with care.

  • Any damage to property, whether intentional or due to negligence, must be compensated by the student.
  • In serious cases, monetary fines and further disciplinary actions may apply.
4. Uniform and Personal Grooming

The school uniform is a symbol of our shared identity and values.

  • Students must wear the complete and prescribed uniform neatly each day.
  • Unnatural hair coloring, excessive accessories, or inappropriate dressing is not allowed.
5. Use of Vehicles

To ensure student safety:

  • Students are not allowed to ride or drive motor vehicles to school.
  • Only bicycles are permitted. Any violation of this rule may result in suspension or removal from the school register.
6. Electronic Devices

We promote focused, distraction-free learning.

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited on campus.
  • If brought, these items will be confiscated and returned only to parents after due process.
7. Cleanliness and Hygiene

Clean habits foster discipline and pride in one's surroundings.

  • Students must maintain personal hygiene and help keep classrooms and school areas clean.
  • Littering or damaging school infrastructure reflects poorly on one’s character.
8. Preparedness and Participation

True learning comes from full engagement.

  • Students must come to school fully prepared with the required books, materials, and assignments.
  • Active participation in academic and co-curricular activities is encouraged and expected.

Partnering with Parents

Discipline begins at home and is reinforced at school. We seek your partnership in nurturing responsible, respectful, and compassionate individuals. Together, let’s uphold the values that define The Wilbur School — where discipline is not punishment, but a foundation for a meaningful and impactful life.
